The Electric Propulsion Innovation & Competitiveness (EPIC) project, Grant Agreement n° 640199, has been selected by the European Commission to carry out the Programme Support Activity (PSA) for the Horizon 2020 Electric Propulsion Strategic Research Cluster (SRC) “In-Space electrical propulsion and station keeping”. EPIC consortium is led by ESA and composed of six national space agencies (ASI, BELSPO, CDTI, CNES, DLR, UKSA), and two European associations, Eurospace and SME4Space.
EPIC aims among others, to provide a clear integrated roadmap of activities and a master plan for its coordination and implementation through the Horizon 2020 SRC on Electric Propulsion (EP). EPIC is also tasked to provide advice and support to the European Commission on the calls for the SRC Operational Grants (OG), including call texts, technical annexes and further work programme-related documentation, assess the evolution and results of those OGs with respect to the overall SRC roadmap, and organize different EPIC Workshops on SRC activities and space electric propulsion technologies.
